Biography

Andrew has a unique background in art and business and a wide network of professional contacts to assist clients in accomplishing their goals.
Andrew began his career as an art historian with an internship at the Metropolitan Museum of Art where he helped curate an exhibition and gave gallery lectures. Subsequently, he worked for four years at the Citibank Private Bank’s Art Advisory Service where he handled some of the world’s foremost art collections.
Andrew also brings a strong understanding of the investment potential of the art market and all the business aspects surrounding art transactions. At Citibank, he arranged art-backed financing, at one point managing over $1 billion in art collateral. In addition, he spent four years as a business strategy consultant with leading consulting firms, advising corporations on such matters as Internet strategy and electronic auctions.
Andrew has a BA from the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated magna cum laude with a distinction in art history. His thesis won the Phi Beta Kappa prize for the most outstanding senior thesis in the university. He went on to complete a Masters degree (MA) in art history from NYU’s Institute of Fine Arts, where he was a Director’s Fellow. Andrew also has an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Andrew has been an art advisor since 2003 and lives in New York City with his wife Jane and their two children. He is on the Board of Directors of the Alport Syndrome Foundation.
